Indigo Access is a small family run company based in Berkshire
Josie Fray set up Indigo Access in 2012. The aim; to provide people with sensory needs an opportunity to take control over their own lives. Josie’s passion was to create a bespoke person centred service. The time was right to revolutionise the support people were being offered. Ultimately Josie wanted to enable people to do what they wanted to do, when they wanted to do it.
“Too often I heard Deaf people say that they couldn’t join a club because they wouldn’t be able to follow the conversation. I witnessed visually impaired people sat at home with no physical activity. I learnt of people with a dual sensory loss losing their confidence in managing their day to day lives.”
Indigo Access has definitely come a long way since 2012. Indeed our plans continue to be ambitious because we want to provide the very best service to our customers. With this in mind we constantly look to refine and add to our range of services.
Indigo Access current range of services:
- Specialist Support Workers including Communicator Guides, Communication Support Workers, BSL to English Interpreters and Sighted Guides
- Lipreading training for people with a hearing loss
- Sensory Awareness training for companies and organisations
Indigo Access blends the talents of a number of individuals. Because we work together, we provide this impressive range of services. Customer experience is important to us. For this reason we make efforts to secure comments, compliments and complaints from our customers. And we continually look at ways to improve outcomes for people who have sensory needs. Additionally we seek feedback from our team, continually developing and sharing best practice.
You can be assured that all of our staff and representatives are appropriately trained and qualified. For this reason the Disclosure and Barring Service check all of our workers. For more information about DBS please visit https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/disclosure-and-barring-service.
