Indigo Access services

We work with people who are Deaf, deafened, hard of hearing or have a sight loss. We work with people who have some difficulty with their sight and hearing loss. In addition we work with people who are considered deafblind.

Since 2012 we have developed an excellent history of providing services to a number of Councils in and around Berkshire. Indigo Access have provided services to all six of the Unitary Authorities in Berkshire. We have also provided services to Cornwall County Council and Richmond Upon Thames residents.

Following Covid-19 Indigo Access have focused on delivering two distinct services:

Firstly our Specialist Support Workers are an amazing team who are central to our business. They demonstrate daily our values of empowering and working collaboratively with our customers. With our support customers can manage their correspondence and make telephone calls; attend medical appointments; undertake shopping or leisure activities and hobbies. Support is delivered the customer’s home or in the wider community.

Secondly we provide life changing training with our Lip-reading courses. A group is run in Wokingham, and over the three terms learners are introduced to all of the lip-reading shapes. Activities are designed to improve memory and stamina. Our 10 week one to one course is bespoke. The aim is always to improve confidence in socialising and communicating.
