Position: Specialist Support Worker (Casual / Zero-Hours)  

We are seeking a motivated, professional individual to join our team as a Specialist Support Worker. 

Experience working with individuals who have sensory impairments such as sight loss, hearing loss, or combined sight and hearing loss is welcome but not essential, as full training is provided. We are looking for people who share our commitment to inclusivity, respect, and empowering individuals to live independently. 

Our vision is to ensure people with sensory impairments are respected and fully included within their communities. 

About the Role 

As a Specialist Support Worker, you will support a caseload of customers in their homes and within the community. You will help customers access information, communication, and mobility support, enabling them to make informed choices and maintain independence in their day-to-day lives. 

Support may include assistance with correspondence, telephone calls, attending appointments, shopping, leisure activities, and hobbies. Each visit is a minimum of two hours. 

This is a community-based role, and you will manage your own diary in line with customer needs and service availability. 

Travel Requirement 

Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to travel independently between customer locations. Access to a car with valid business insurance is required.
