Indigo Access services
Since 2012, we have built a strong track record of providing high-quality services to councils across Berkshire and beyond. Over the years, Indigo Access has worked with all six Unitary Authorities in Berkshire. We have provided services commissioned by Cornwall County Council. Additionally we have worked to deliver privately funded support to residents in Buckinghamshire and Richmond Upon Thames.
Currently, we are commissioned by Wokingham Borough, Reading Borough, Bracknell Forest, and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Our services support residents who have sight loss, hearing loss, or both.
A Fully Funded, Essential Service
Our Specialist Support Workers serve as auxiliary aids and reasonable adjustments, as outlined in the Equality Act 2010. Because of this, our services are fully funded and free to residents. We ensure that individuals have access to information, communication, and mobility, allowing them to remain independent, active, and in control of their daily lives.
Our Specialist Support Workers
We provide three types of trained support workers, each equipped to meet individual needs:
- Communicator Guides – hold the Signature Level 2 award in Communicating and Guiding with deafblind people
- Sighted Guides – work with people with a sight loss
- Communication Support Workers – hold a variety of qualifications including Signature Level 6 British Sign Language working with D/deaf people
Our Impact
Our Specialist Support Workers are the heart of our business. Every day, they demonstrate our values by delivering life-changing support. Their work improves both mental and physical health, reduces social isolation, and promotes self-determination.
We provide support at home or out in the community, ensuring individuals can live life on their terms.
